How the IBBI Registered Valuer is structured
Each asset class has its own online, proctored multiple-choice exam of 2 hours for 100 marks, available on every working day at test centres booked through NISM's portal. IBBI's FAQ puts the paper at 87 questions: 74 of 1 mark and 13 of 2 marks, the 2-mark questions in three case studies (12, 8 and 6 marks). A wrong answer loses 25% of that question's marks; 60% passes. The Phase 6 syllabus applies from 21 August 2026. There is no limit on attempts, with a 21-day gap between them, and a pass is valid for 3 years for applying to register.
