Register at nism.ac.in → Create account → Choose exam → Pay fee online. Exams are conducted at NSE-authorised test centres across 100+ cities in India.

3 questionsWhat is the general passing score for NISM exams?
Most NISM exams require 60% to pass (60 out of 100). NISM Series V-A has a lower threshold of 50%. Series V-C (CPE) requires 60%.
Is there negative marking in NISM exams?
Yes, most NISM exams have negative marking of 0.25 marks per wrong answer. Some exams may differ — always check the specific exam information bulletin at nism.ac.in.
What is the format of NISM exams?
All NISM exams are computer-based (CBT), held at authorised test centres. Format: 100 MCQs (4 options each), 120 minutes duration, negative marking of 0.25 per wrong answer.
Results
2 questionsCan I retake a NISM exam if I fail?
Yes. You must wait at least 30 days from the failed attempt date before re-registering. You pay the full registration fee again. There is no limit on the number of attempts.
When are NISM exam results declared?
NISM exam results are declared immediately at the test centre upon completion of the exam. A provisional score sheet is given on the spot. The official certificate is available for download from nism.ac.in within 7 working days.
