Is there negative marking in SBI PO?
Yes, in the objective tests: 0.25 marks are deducted for each wrong answer in both Prelims and Mains objective sections. The descriptive test has no negative marking.
How many vacancies does SBI PO have?
Vacancies are limited compared to IBPS PO - the 2025 cycle had 541 posts. Numbers vary each year with SBI's manpower planning, so check the current notification for exact figures.

Yes, provisionally. Final-year/semester students may apply, but must produce proof of passing graduation on or before the date specified in the notification.
How long does it take to prepare for SBI PO?

What is the SBI PO probation period and posting?
Selected candidates serve a probation of about 2 years with structured training and reviews, and can be posted anywhere in India. Confirmation follows a probation assessment, after which promotion tracks open up quickly.
What does the SBI PO descriptive paper include?
A 30-minute, 30-mark online typing test with an essay and a letter (formal or business-style), usually on banking, economy or current social topics. Regular timed writing practice is the easiest way to secure these marks.
