Education
General: Master's (Economics/Commerce/Statistics/Business-Finance) OR Bachelor's in Engineering OR CA/CS/CMA/CFA/MBA-Finance. Legal: LLB. IT: B.E./B.Tech (IT/CS/ECE) or MCA/M.Sc IT. Minimum-marks conditions per notification.
Age
Maximum 30 years. Relaxations: SC/ST +5, OBC +3, PwBD (+10/+13/+15), plus ex-servicemen.
Nationality
Indian citizen (or Nepal/Bhutan subject, Tibetan refugee pre-1962, PIO from specified countries).
How the IFSCA Grade A is structured
Three stages. Phase I is an online screening of two objective papers of 100 marks each (60 min each, ¼ negative marking) - Paper 1 general and Paper 2 stream-specific, with ~30%/40% cut-offs. Phase II is a main online exam of two papers of 100 marks each (English descriptive plus a stream paper; IT includes a coding test). Shortlisted candidates face the Phase III Interview.

How to crack the IFSCA Grade A
Apply online
Register at ifsca.gov.in during the application window, select your discipline, upload documents and pay the fee (~₹1,000 General; ~₹100 SC/ST/PwBD).
Clear Phase I (Screening)
Sit the two objective papers (100 marks each); meet the ~30% (Paper 1) and ~40% (Paper 2) cut-offs with ¼ negative marking to advance.
Clear Phase II (Main exam)
Appear for the two main papers (English/descriptive + discipline paper; IT includes a coding test). Phase II scores drive shortlisting and final merit.
Attend the Phase III Interview
Shortlisted candidates are interviewed; performance is combined with Phase II for the final list.
Final merit & selection
Merit is prepared discipline-wise on the combined Phase II + Interview score.
Document verification & joining
Complete document verification and medical formalities, then join IFSCA at GIFT City, Gandhinagar as an Assistant Manager.
