How the IIBF Cyber Crimes & Fraud Management is structured
The certificate is a single online exam of 120 multiple-choice questions for 100 marks in 2 hours, taken in remote proctored mode from a desktop or laptop. There is no negative marking and the pass mark is 60/100. The exam is conducted in English only. A basic battery-operated calculator is allowed; scientific and financial calculators are not. Questions can also cover regulatory developments up to IIBF's published cut-off date.

Harder than it looks: IIBF's annual report shows 1,659 of 5,737 candidates passed in 2024-25 (28.92%). The pass rate rose to 48.09% in 2025-26, still under half.
Is it held at an exam centre?
No. It is remote proctored, taken from a desktop or laptop at a place of your choice. Mobiles and tablets are not allowed.
Is this the same as the 'Cyber Crimes and Fraud Management' certificate?
Yes. IIBF's annual report calls it the Certificate Course on Cyber Crimes and Fraud Management; the exam page and rules call it the Certificate Examination in Prevention of Cyber Crimes and Fraud Management. It is one exam, still running in 2026.
