ICAI DISA Previous Year Question Papers
There are no official past AT papers. Here's what ICAI gives you instead.
We could not find any past DISA Assessment Test paper or answer key published by ICAI, on icai.org or alongside the AT announcements and results. Files sold or shared as "DISA previous year papers" are not official ICAI releases, and many are built on the retired 2.0 syllabus.
ICAI does publish something more useful than most people realise: practice questions with explained answers, inside its own ISA 3.0 background material.

The Background Material's Built-In Questions
ICAI's background material (Revised Edition, August 2020) ends most chapters with a question set and a separate answers-and-explanations section.
- check_circleModule 1 (IS audit process): question sets after each of its six chapters, the largest bank in the material
- check_circleModules 2 to 5: question sets after each chapter, covering governance and BCM, SDLC and application controls, IS operations, and security controls
- check_circleModule 6 (emerging technologies): no chapter-end question section, so you'll need other practice for AI, blockchain, cloud, analytics, IoT and RPA
- check_circleThe questions are four-option multiple choice with the right answer explained, which makes them good for self-testing after each chapter
Original questions, no signup.
Chapter Questions Are Not an AT Paper
The background material's questions check one chapter at a time. They don't tell you how you'll do across all six modules in a 4-hour, 200-mark sitting, and ICAI doesn't say they reflect the AT's format. Use them for learning, and a full-length timed paper for readiness.
How to Practise Without Past Papers
- 1
Read a chapter, then do its questions
Answer the chapter-end set without looking back, then read every explanation, including for the ones you got right.
- 2
Log your misses by module
A running tally shows which of the six modules is costing you marks.
- 3
Fill the Module 6 gap
Emerging technologies has no chapter questions in the material, so practise it separately.
- 4
Sit full timed papers
In the last weeks, practise complete papers scored out of 200 under a 4-hour limit, and aim well above 120.
FAQs
Does ICAI release DISA previous year papers?expand_more
We found none on icai.org or with ICAI's Assessment Test notices. ICAI publishes the background material, which includes chapter-end practice questions, instead.
Are DISA 2.0 papers useful for DISA 3.0?expand_more
Only partly. The 3.0 course reorganised the syllabus into six modules and added a full Emerging Technologies module, so 2.0-era material misses part of what is examined.
Where can I find DISA practice questions?expand_more
In ICAI's ISA 3.0 background material (chapter-end MCQs in Modules 1 to 5), in your e-learning assessment and module tests, and in full-length practice papers like ours.
Are there answer keys for the DISA Assessment Test?expand_more
ICAI does not publish AT answer keys that we could find. Results are declared on isaat.icai.org.
