FRM Exam Dates and Windows
Three chances a year, both parts in every window. The dates matter less than the two 4-year clocks they start.
The FRM exam runs three times a year, in windows falling in early May, mid-August and mid-November. Both Part I and Part II are offered in every window, so a candidate never waits more than about four months for the next opportunity to sit either paper.
GARP publishes the exact dates for each cycle; what stays constant is the cadence, and the two deadlines that cadence feeds: Part II within 4 years of passing Part I, and work experience submitted within 4 years of passing Part II.

Picking a Window That Fits Your Preparation
Three windows a year changes how you should think about readiness. With a once-a-year exam, deferring costs twelve months and candidates sit half-prepared rather than lose a year. With FRM's four-month gaps, the honest move when preparation slips is usually to take the next window rather than gamble a full exam fee on a rushed sitting.
The spacing also enables the fastest realistic path through the program: pass Part I in one window and Part II in a later one the same year or the next, then let the work-experience clock finish the job.
Know where you stand before you pick a window.
