IIBF Cyber Crimes and Fraud Management Study Material
One official book, an optional e-learning add-on, and IIBF's own reading list. Here's what's worth your time.
IIBF's official study material for this exam is the book "Prevention of Cyber Crimes & Fraud Management", published by Macmillan India Limited (2025 edition, English). IIBF's exam page links to it, and it is written to the four-module syllabus.
IIBF is unusually direct that the book is not enough on its own. Its rules say the courseware "should not be considered as the only source of information", because banking rules change fast, and point candidates to RBI's circulars and IIBF's own publications as well.

The Official Book
The courseware follows the syllabus module by module: cyber crimes overview, fraud management, electronic transactions, and cyber laws and regulatory compliance. Read it once end to end before you start question practice, so you have the vocabulary for every module.
Module B (Fraud Management) is only two units in the syllabus, but those units carry the whole incident cycle, from prevention, detection and mitigation controls through reporting, investigation, evidence and forensics. Give that part of the book a second, slower read.

What IIBF Says to Read Alongside the Book
IIBF's rules list these, because questions can cover current developments up to the cut-off date for your sitting.
- check_circleUpdates posted on IIBF's website
- check_circleRBI Master Circulars and Master Directions
- check_circleIIBF's publications, especially IIBF Vision and Bank Quest

Mind the Cut-Off Date
For exams from September 2026 to February 2027, IIBF counts developments up to 30 June 2026. A rule issued after that date won't be tested in those sittings, so you don't need to chase every new circular in the week before your exam.
