CCFE Previous Year Papers: What Actually Exists
No official archive, no answer key. What you can practise against is the published pattern and the six syllabus modules.
If you came here for a CCFE previous year question paper with answers, the direct answer is that IIBF does not publish one. There is no official archive of past Certificate Course in Foreign Exchange Operations papers, no model paper and no answer key.
What does exist is enough to prepare properly: a published exam pattern, a six-module syllabus that maps closely to the regulations you already work with, and practice written against both. This page covers what the conducting body actually releases, how to treat the "memory-based" sets that circulate, and what to practise instead.

IIBF does not release official CCFE past papers
There is no official IIBF PDF, archive or answer key for past CCFE papers. Anything online presented as an actual CCFE paper is a candidate's after-the-fact recollection, not a captured original. This page will not reproduce, host or link to that material, and will not call it official.
Why No CCFE Question Paper Is Published
CCFE is a single online remote-proctored objective exam, delivered from a question bank rather than as one printed paper handed to every candidate on the same morning. Candidates sitting different slots do not see an identical set, so there is no single "the paper" to release even in principle.
That structure is also why the bank is not published: it is reused across sittings. IIBF pre-announces dates typically on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays and Sundays, which means sittings are frequent and a released set would be worth very little to the exam's integrity.
What You Can Practise Against Instead
The published pattern is fixed and knowable, which is most of what a past paper would have told you.

About "Memory-Based" CCFE Papers
Memory-based sets are questions candidates type up from recollection after sitting the exam, then circulated or sold as if they were the genuine paper. Wording drifts, options drift, and the stated answer is sometimes simply wrong, because none of it is verified against an original.
For CCFE specifically the risk is sharper than for a general banking paper. Much of this syllabus turns on precise regulatory detail: LRS conditions, ECB and ODI routes, UCP 600 article numbers, ISBP practice. A recalled question that gets a limit or an article slightly wrong does not just waste your time, it teaches you a wrong fact that you will then reproduce in the exam and possibly at your desk.

How to Use a Recalled Set Without Being Misled
If you come across one anyway, here is how to handle it:
- 1
Anchor to the syllabus first
Read the recalled set against the six published modules, not the other way round. Anything that does not map to a module is noise.
- 2
Verify every regulatory number at source
Check limits, routes and conditions against current RBI and FEDAI material, and article references against UCP 600 and ISBP. Never accept a figure because a recalled sheet stated it.
- 3
Treat it as style, not as a question list
A recalled set can tell you roughly how questions are phrased. It cannot tell you what will appear, and betting on a specific question reappearing is not a plan.
- 4
Do the retrieval work under time
Reading a static sheet of questions and answers feels productive and measures nothing. Answering 100 questions inside 2 hours, scored, tells you where you actually are.
What the Pattern Tells You About Practice
The published format implies a specific practice style, which is most of what candidates hope to learn from a past paper:
- check_circleNo negative marking means every question gets an answer. Leaving a blank is a pure loss, so practice should never train you to skip.
- check_circle100 questions in 120 minutes is a little over a minute each, which rewards recall of limits and article numbers over derivation on the spot.
- check_circleThe 50 out of 100 pass mark is an absolute bar, not a rank. You are aiming at a score, not at other candidates.
- check_circleOne paper covers all six modules, so a weak module cannot be offset by a strong one on a different day. Spread the practice.
The Six Modules Any Practice Set Should Cover
The published syllabus areas, which are the real shape of the paper:
- Forex markets, rates and FEDAI
- FEDAI's role and rules, exchange rates and forex risk management, and the code of conduct, ethics and governance around dealing.
- FEMA for individuals
- Remittance under LRS, foreign currency accounts, acquisition of assets and property abroad, and NRI facilities across deposits, investments and borrowing.
- FEMA for entities
- Import and export of goods and services, External Commercial Borrowings, overseas investments, investment into India by non-residents and FPIs, and LO, BO and PO set-ups by foreign entities.
- Documentary and standby credits
- INCOTERMS and URC 522, UCP 600 and eUCP, ISBP, URR, URBPO and URDG 758, and the DOCDEX rules.
- Export finance
- Pre-shipment and post-shipment finance in rupees and foreign currency, international factoring and forfaiting, and the Export Credit Guarantee Corporation.
- Foreign Trade Policy 2023
- The policy issues with specific relevance to AD banks, kept current with the latest updates.
A note on free PDF downloads
We do not offer a CCFE previous year papers PDF and will not link to third-party ones, because no official past papers exist and what circulates under that label is recalled content of uncertain accuracy. Free practice questions written against the published syllabus, answered under time, are the honest substitute.
FAQs
Does IIBF release previous year question papers for CCFE?expand_more
No. IIBF does not publish past question papers, model papers or answer keys for the Certificate Course in Foreign Exchange Operations.
Where can I download a CCFE previous year paper PDF?expand_more
There is no official one to download. PDFs offered elsewhere under that label are candidate recollections compiled after the exam, not verified papers, and should not be treated as accurate on regulatory detail.
Are memory-based CCFE questions reliable?expand_more
They are reconstructions, so wording, options and stated answers can be wrong. They are usable as a rough guide to phrasing, but every limit, route and article reference in them should be verified against current RBI, FEDAI and UCP 600 material.
Do CCFE questions repeat between sittings?expand_more
IIBF does not publish its question bank, so this cannot be relied on. The syllabus ground repeats because it is core to forex operations, which is a reason to prepare the concept rather than to chase specific recalled questions.
What should I practise if no past papers exist?expand_more
Practise against the published format: 100 MCQs for 100 marks in 120 minutes, in English, with no negative marking and 50 out of 100 to pass, covering all six syllabus modules in one paper.
Is there an official CCFE model paper or sample questions?expand_more
IIBF does not publish a model paper or sample answer key for CCFE. The published exam pattern and syllabus are the official reference points for building practice.
