IBBI Registered Valuer List and Registered Valuers Organisations
Where to check if someone is a registered valuer, and how the RVO you join carries you to registration.
IBBI keeps the official list of registered valuers on its website, under Service Providers. It is a public register: anyone can search it to check that a valuer is registered, for which asset class, and through which Registered Valuers Organisation (RVO).
IBBI's Annual Report 2023-24 counted 5,532 individual registered valuers at 31 March 2024, recognised through 15 RVOs. Every one of them reached registration through an RVO, because there is no direct route to IBBI.

How to Check the IBBI Registered Valuer List
- 1
Open IBBI's register
Go to ibbi.gov.in, then Service Providers, then Registered Valuers (ibbi.gov.in/service-provider/rvs).
- 2
Search by name or registration number
The register lists each valuer's registration number, name, address, RVO, date of registration and asset class.
- 3
Match the asset class
A valuer registered for Land and Building cannot sign off a Companies Act share valuation, and vice versa. Check the class against the job.
- 4
Check entities separately
Partnership firms and companies registered as valuers sit on a separate list of registered valuer entities.
What an RVO Does
A Registered Valuers Organisation is a body IBBI recognises to enrol, train and supervise valuers in one or more asset classes. You deal with an RVO at both ends of the process. Since 3 June 2026 an RVO set up as a section 8 company needs paid-up share capital of at least ₹25 lakh (existing RVOs have until 31 March 2028).
Before the exam, you join an RVO as a valuer member, and it checks that your qualification and experience meet the Rules. It then runs the mandatory 50-hour educational course for your asset class, and you enter its membership number and course certificate when you book the exam. After you pass, you file your registration application through the RVO, which must recommend you to IBBI. Once registered, the RVO issues the Certificate of Practice you need before you start, and the Rules require RVOs to provide continuing education to their members.
