ICAI DISA Eligibility and How to Register
Members only, and the Assessment Test is the last of six steps. Here's the full route.
The DISA course is a post-qualification course: only members of ICAI, that is qualified Chartered Accountants, can join it. CA students, and anyone outside the Institute, cannot enrol or sit its tests.
Being a member isn't enough to sit the Assessment Test, though. ICAI opens the AT only to members who are registered for the ISA course and have cleared its eligibility criteria, which means finishing the e-learning, the training, the module tests, the project and the Eligibility Test first.

From Enrolment to the Assessment Test
- 1
Enrol on the PQC portal
Register for the ISA 3.0 course as a member on ICAI's post-qualification course portal (pqc.icai.org) and choose a virtual or physical training batch.
- 2
Complete the e-learning
Finish the 20-hour ISA 3.0 e-learning on learning.icai.org. The e-learning assessment test unlocks once every chapter is done, and you must take it before training.
- 3
Attend professional training
72 hours: 18 sessions in a virtual batch or 12 six-hour sessions in a physical one. You need 90% attendance, i.e. at least 17 of 18 virtual or 11 of 12 physical sessions.
- 4
Clear module tests and project
Three 20-mark module tests plus a 20-mark group project and viva. You need 48 of 80 in aggregate.
- 5
Register for and pass the Eligibility Test
Register online for the ET and score 72 of 120. The first attempt is free; each later attempt costs ₹500.
- 6
Apply for the Assessment Test
In the window ICAI announces, fill the AT form on isaat.icai.org and pay ₹2,000 online. For the 28 November 2026 test, the window is 8 October 2026 to 21 October 2026.
See the question style before you enrol.
The AT Has Its Own Application
Clearing the Eligibility Test does not book you into the Assessment Test. The AT is run by ICAI's Examination Department, which hosts a separate form on isaat.icai.org for each sitting. Miss the window and you wait for the next announced test.
Virtual or Physical Batch?
Both cover the same six modules and lead to the same tests.
- check_circleVirtual: 18 sessions, ₹10,000 course fee. Module tests are scheduled on the 6th, 12th and 18th day (morning batches) or the 7th, 13th and 19th day (evening batches).
- check_circlePhysical: 12 sessions of 6 hours, ₹20,000 course fee. Module tests come after class on the 4th, 8th and 12th day.
- check_circleEither way, attendance below 90% means the training is not complete, and you can't move on to the Eligibility Test.
