IBPS RRB Application and Exam Dates
One notification covers every post and all 28 RRBs. The steps, the fee and the calendar.
IBPS RRB applications run through one annual Common Recruitment Process (CRP RRB) notification at ibps.in, typically released between June and August. The 2025-26 cycle was notified in August 2025 with applications open from 1 to 28 September 2025, and offered 13,516 vacancies across the 28 Regional Rural Banks.
Unlike a single-bank application, the CRP form makes two decisions for you at once: which post you contest and which state's RRB you commit to. Both outlast the exam, so they deserve the most thought on the form.

How to Apply for IBPS RRB
- 1
Watch for the notification and register at ibps.in
The CRP RRB notification typically lands June-August. Register online, upload photo, signature, thumb impression and the handwritten declaration in the prescribed formats.
- 2
Choose your post and preferred state
Select Office Assistant and/or the officer scale you qualify for, and the state whose RRB you want. The state fixes both your merit pool and the local language you must be proficient in.
- 3
Pay the fee and submit within the window
Approximately ₹850 for General/OBC and ₹175 for SC/ST/PwBD, paid online. The window runs about three weeks; late applications do not exist in this process.
- 4
Sit the prelims (Office Assistant and Scale I only)
The 45-minute, 80-mark qualifying prelims. Scale II and III candidates skip straight to their single exam.
- 5
Clear the mains or single exam
The 2-hour, 200-mark five-section paper. For Office Assistant it is the final selection stage; for officers it carries 80% of merit.
- 6
Interview (officers), then provisional allotment
Officer candidates attend the 100-mark interview. IBPS then publishes a provisional allotment to a specific RRB, followed by document verification and language-proficiency confirmation before joining.

The State Choice Is a Commitment, Not a Preference
Allotment is to a specific state's RRB, postings sit in its operational area, and proficiency in that state's language is verified before joining. Applying to a state for its vacancy count without real language proficiency risks losing the post after clearing every exam stage.
Dates Shift Every Cycle
Vacancies, fees, dates, cut-offs and eligibility thresholds are revised per CRP RRB notification. Figures here reflect the 2025-26 cycle as last notified. Confirm the current notification on ibps.in before you act on them.
