Bond
A debt instrument where the issuer borrows from investors and repays with interest.
A bond is a fixed-income security in which an investor lends money to an issuer (a government or company) for a defined period in return for periodic interest (the coupon) and repayment of principal at maturity. Bond prices move inversely to interest rates, a key concept in fixed-income and risk exams.
