CRR (Cash Reserve Ratio)
The share of a bank's deposits it must keep as cash reserves with the RBI.
The Cash Reserve Ratio is the percentage of a bank's net demand and time liabilities that it must hold as reserves with the RBI, earning no interest. Increasing CRR reduces the funds banks can lend; decreasing it releases liquidity. It is a direct lever on credit availability.
