Reverse Repo Rate
The rate at which the RBI borrows from commercial banks, absorbing surplus liquidity.
Reverse repo rate is the interest the RBI pays banks to park their surplus funds with it. A higher reverse repo encourages banks to lend to the RBI rather than the market, absorbing excess liquidity. It works alongside the repo rate to manage money supply.
