CAIIB Previous Year Papers
No official past papers exist for CAIIB. The published format and syllabus give you almost everything one would have.
If you came looking for a CAIIB previous year papers PDF with answers, the honest answer is that no official one exists. IIBF does not publish past CAIIB question papers, model papers or answer keys for any paper or any cycle.
What does exist is worth more than most people expect: a fixed, published paper format, a syllabus that tells you exactly what is examinable, and practice written against both. This page sets out what is real, what the circulating "memory-based" files actually are, and how to practise so the absence of past papers stops mattering.

IIBF does not release official CAIIB past papers
There is no IIBF archive, PDF or answer key for previous CAIIB papers. Anything online presented as an "actual CAIIB paper" is a candidate's after-the-fact reconstruction, not a captured original. This page does not host, reproduce or link to that material, and will not describe it as official.
Are CAIIB Previous Year Papers Available Officially?
No. CAIIB is conducted as an online computer-based test and the question set is not released afterwards. That holds for all four compulsory papers, ABM, BFM, ABFM and BRBL, and for every elective.
The files that rank for this search are almost always "memory-based": questions candidates reconstruct from memory after sitting a paper, then compiled and copied forward. The wording drifts, the options drift, and the stated answer is sometimes simply wrong, because nothing in the chain was verified against an original. Treating that as a past paper is where preparation goes sideways.
Why the Revised Scheme Makes Old Files Worse
CAIIB moved to a revised scheme in 2023, adding Advanced Business and Financial Management and Banking Regulations and Business Laws alongside ABM and BFM, with one elective chosen from five options. Any recalled set compiled before that change is describing a syllabus structure the exam no longer uses.
Undated files are the common case, and an undated recalled paper cannot be placed on either side of that revision. That alone is reason enough not to build revision around one.
The Format Past Papers Would Have Shown You
You do not need a leaked paper to know the shape of the exam. It is published.

What a Past Paper Would Have Told You, and Where to Get It Instead
Break the request into what you actually wanted from a past paper. Each part has a legitimate source.
- check_circleThe format and timing: published in the exam pattern, above and on the exam pattern page. Nothing is hidden here.
- check_circleThe examinable ground: the syllabus for each paper, which is what IIBF builds questions from in the first place.
- check_circleThe calculation style in ABM and BFM: worked numericals from the courseware, done end to end rather than read.
- check_circleThe pressure of 100 questions in 2 hours: only a timed attempt reproduces that, and a recalled PDF read at your own pace never does.
Do CAIIB Questions Repeat?
Not in a way you can plan around. IIBF revises the syllabus and the underlying question bank, and the 2023 revision is the clearest recent example. Betting on a specific remembered question reappearing is not a strategy.
The topic ground does recur, because it is central to the subject. Credit appraisal, risk frameworks, treasury and forex basics, and the statutes behind BRBL keep appearing in some form. Prepare the concept and you cover every phrasing of it; memorise a recalled question and you cover one.
How to Use a Recalled Question Set Without Being Misled
If you already have one, here is how to get value from it without trusting it further than it deserves.
- 1
Check it against the current five-paper scheme
If a set has no ABFM or BRBL content, it predates the revised scheme and describes an exam structure that no longer applies.
- 2
Read "memory-based" as reconstructed, not verbatim
It is a recollection typed up after the exam. Wording, options and the marked answer can all be off.
- 3
Verify every answer yourself
Work each question back to the concept in the courseware. If you cannot justify the given answer from the syllabus, treat the answer as wrong rather than yourself.
- 4
Use it for style, not for spotting
It is reasonable evidence of phrasing and difficulty. It is not evidence about what your cycle will ask.
- 5
Do the retrieval work under time
Reading a set tells you what looks familiar. A timed, scored paper tells you what you can produce in 2 hours, which is the thing being tested.
Practising Against the Format Instead
With no negative marking, every question is worth attempting, so the format rewards pace and coverage rather than selective caution. The constraint that actually bites is 100 questions in 120 minutes across papers that mix direct recall with case studies and, in ABM and BFM, numericals.
That makes full-length timed practice the closest honest substitute for a past paper. It reproduces the count, the clock and the mixed question types, and it tells you which of the five papers is your weak one before an attempt does.

We do not offer a "CAIIB previous year papers PDF" and will not link to third-party ones. No official past papers exist, and what circulates under that label is recalled material of uncertain accuracy, sometimes describing the pre-2023 scheme. Practice written against the published syllabus and sat under time is the substitute that works.
FAQs
Does IIBF release official CAIIB previous year question papers?expand_more
No. IIBF does not publish past CAIIB question papers, model papers or answer keys, for any of the compulsory papers or the electives.
Where can I get CAIIB previous year papers with answers?expand_more
Nowhere official, because they are not released. Files circulating under that name are candidate-reconstructed "memory-based" material, which is not a past paper and should not be treated as verified.
Are older CAIIB papers still relevant after the revised scheme?expand_more
Structurally, no. The revised 2023 scheme has four compulsory papers, ABM, BFM, ABFM and BRBL, plus one elective from five options, so material built around the earlier structure describes an exam shape that no longer applies.
Do CAIIB questions repeat from one cycle to the next?expand_more
Not reliably. IIBF revises the syllabus and question bank periodically. Core topics recur because they are central to banking, not because specific questions are recycled.
What is the CAIIB paper format I should practise against?expand_more
Each paper is 100 objective questions for 100 marks in 120 minutes, online, with no negative marking and case studies in some papers. A pass needs 50 out of 100 in the paper, or 45 in every paper with a 250/500 aggregate in a single sitting.
Is there a topic-wise question count for CAIIB?expand_more
IIBF does not publish one. The published facts are the paper totals of 100 questions and 100 marks per paper; the examinable ground is set out in the syllabus for each paper.
