III Exam Dates 2026: The Full Schedule
Four sessions a year, each with three deadlines that matter: enrolment, slot booking and the exam weekend.
III holds its professional exams, including IC-01, 4 times a year: in March, June, September and December. Each session runs across two weekends, and each has its own enrolment window, slot-booking window and result date.
The next session is December 2026. Enrolment runs from 5 to 15 October 2026, slot booking from 5 to 11 November, and the exams fall on 5, 6, 12 and 13 December, with results due on or before 31 December.

Dates Are Tentative
III's handbook states that its calendar dates are tentative and may change, that changes are posted on its website rather than sent to candidates individually, and that no refund is given because of a postponement. Check the Online Examination Schedule page on insuranceinstituteofindia.com before each deadline.
The Three Deadlines in Every Session
- 1
Enrolment: the 5th to the 15th
Enrol for IC-01 and pay the paper fee. New candidates must register first. This is also the only time you can change your centre, or swap to another subject with the same credit points.
- 2
Extended enrolment: the 16th to the 18th
A short extra window III's calendar marks for enrolment, change of centre and change of subject. Do not plan around it.
- 3
Slot booking
Three to four weeks before the exam, book your exam date, time and centre, and download your hall ticket. Slots go first come, first served; miss the window and the system books one for you, which you cannot change.
See the question format before you pick a session.
Scribe Requests: Last Dates in 2026
For physically or visually challenged candidates who need a scribe. III also advises sending scribe details at least 10 working days before the exam.
| Session | Last date for scribe request |
|---|---|
| March 2026 | 27 February |
| June 2026 | 28 May |
| September 2026 | 21 August |
| December 2026 | 26 November |
Which Weekend Will My Exam Be On?
You decide, within limits. Each session offers four exam days across two weekends, and you choose your day, time and centre when you book your slot. Not every centre runs on every day: III publishes a tentative centre-wise list of exam days for each session on its Online Examination Schedule page.
The earlier you book in the slot window, the more choice you have. If you need a particular city or a particular weekend, book on the first day.
Picking Your Session
- check_circleWorking back from the exam weekend, give yourself enough study time before enrolment closes: you commit your fee at enrolment, roughly seven weeks before the exam.
- check_circleYou can sit up to 6 papers in one session, so IC-01, IC-02 or IC-11, and IC-14 can all be taken in the same session if you are ready for them.
- check_circleResults come out within the session's own month, so if you fail IC-01 in one session you can usually see your result before the next enrolment window opens.
- check_circleCandidates awaiting a result may enrol provisionally for the next session, per III's own guidance, to avoid the last-minute rush.
