III IC-01 Exam Fees and Credit-Point Validity
₹1,400 plus taxes for a first-timer, ₹600 for every attempt after that. Here is the full cost picture.
A first-time IC-01 candidate in India pays ₹1,400 plus taxes: a one-time registration fee of ₹800, which includes life membership, and the IC-01 paper fee of ₹600. If you need another attempt, you pay only the ₹600 paper fee again.
These are III's fees for fresh candidates with effect from 1 April 2026. The study course is extra and optional; III sells it separately.

The Cheapest Licentiate Route
IC-01 + IC-02 (or IC-11) + IC-14 is three 20-credit papers: exactly the 60 credit points the Licentiate needs. With the registration fee, that is ₹2,600 plus taxes if you pass each paper first time.

III Fees Are Not Refundable
Once you have registered or enrolled, III does not refund or adjust the registration fee, the paper fee or any other fee, including when you miss slot booking and the system books a date for you. Check your session and subjects before you pay.
How Long a Pass Stays Valid
There is no deadline to finish the Licentiate. What expires is the credit: the 20 credit points you earn by passing IC-01 stay valid for 5 years from the date you pass, up to Associateship level.
In practice that only matters if you stall: if a passed paper is more than five years old before you complete the Associateship, its credit lapses and you would need to make up the points with the same or another paper. Once you are elected an Associate, your 250 credit points become permanent.
