IBBI Valuation Exam Dates and Slot Booking
No exam calendar, no application window. You choose the day. Here's how to book it well.
There is no fixed IBBI valuation exam date. IBBI's Phase 6 notice says the exam is available on every working day at test centres across the country, and you choose the date, time and centre yourself when you enrol on NISM's certification portal.
So the question is not when the exam is, but when you should book it. That depends on three dates that do matter: when your RVO course ends, when the syllabus you are studying applies, and the 21-day gap you must leave between attempts.

Dates That Matter
| Date or period | What it means |
|---|---|
| 21 August 2026 | Phase 6 syllabus and format apply to every exam from this date |
| 30 June 2026 | Laws on the syllabus are read as notified on this date |
| Every working day | Slots open at test centres nationwide; you pick one |
| 15 days before your slot | Last point to ask NISM to reschedule, and only for a bona-fide reason |
| 21 days | Minimum gap between two consecutive attempts |
| Within 30 days of passing | IBBI issues your pass certificate |
| 3 years from passing | Window to apply for registration before the pass lapses |

- 2
Enrol for your asset class
Log in, choose the asset class, and enter your RVO membership number and course completion certificate.
- 3
Choose centre, date and time
Pick from the available slots at the centre you want. IBBI's exam page shows availability.
- 4
Pay and download the admit card
Pay the fee online by card or net banking, then download your admit card.
- 5
Turn up 30 minutes early
Bring the admit card printout and an original PAN, Aadhaar or passport. Without both, you will not be let in.
Rescheduling Is Hard, So Book Deliberately
IBBI's FAQ says rescheduling is not permitted without a bona-fide reason, and only requests that reach NISM ([email protected]) 15 days before the exam are considered. Book the date you can actually keep.

Choosing Your Date
- check_circleBook only after a full-length timed practice paper puts you clearly above 60, with negative marking applied. Booking first and preparing to the date is how the fee gets paid twice.
- check_circleIf you fail, the earliest re-attempt is 21 days later. Use that gap on your weakest modules, not on rereading everything.
- check_circleStudying from older material? Exams from 21 August 2026 follow the Phase 6 syllabus, so check your notes against it.
- check_circleYour pass is valid for 3 years, so you do not need to rush registration, but do not let it lapse.
