IIBF Cyber Crimes and Fraud Management: Eligibility and Registration
12th pass is enough, and you don't need to work in a bank. Here's how to register and what your computer needs.
To take the IIBF Cyber Crimes and Fraud Management exam you need to have passed 12th standard in any discipline, or its equivalent. That is the only qualification IIBF's Rules & Syllabus 2026 lists.
You do not need to be an IIBF member or a bank employee. Members and non-members can both register; members pay a lower fee. You register yourself, online, on IIBF's website.

How to Register

Go to iibf.org.in during an open window
IIBF publishes the exam schedule and registration dates on its website. Each exam date has its own short window, usually 4 to 5 days.

Use the member or non-member link
The exam page has separate registration links. Non-members must upload a photo ID (list below).

Pick your exam date and time slot
Slots are allotted first-come-first-served, and IIBF will not change the date or slot after registration for any reason.

Add e-learning or an e-book if you want them
Optional, for an additional fee. You get a login and password to access the study material.

Pay the fee
₹1,100 for members or ₹1,600 for non-members, plus convenience charges and taxes. It is not refunded or adjusted.

Download your admit letter
An admit letter is generated on successful registration.
Your Slot Is Final
IIBF's rules say there is no provision to change the exam date or time slot once you have chosen it, and requests will not be entertained. Check your calendar before you click.

Photo ID for Non-Members
Non-members must attach a copy of one of these, showing name, photo and signature, when registering. IIBF says applications without one are liable to be rejected.

Remote-Proctoring System Check
IIBF's minimum requirements. Test your setup before exam day; IIBF says it is not responsible for system failures during the exam.

Scribe and Extra Time
Candidates who are visually impaired, or who have cerebral palsy or a loco-motor impairment that affects writing speed, can apply for a scribe, special assistance or compensatory time. You must apply online on IIBF's website as per its procedure; IIBF says candidates who do not apply may be denied the facility.
Taking It for CITAP?
This exam is one of the three IIBF certificates required for CITAP (Certified Information Technology Audit Professional), alongside the Certificate Examination in IT Security and the Certified Information System Banker (CISB). After clearing all three under the revised syllabus, you complete mandatory training. CITAP registration is ₹1,000 plus GST and training is ₹4,500 plus GST. Candidates who cleared any of the three under the old syllabus before May 2017 are not eligible.
