Dates Are Tentative
III's handbook states that its calendar dates are tentative and may be changed if required. Check the Online Examination Schedule page on insuranceinstituteofindia.com before each deadline, not just at the start of the year.
The Three Deadlines in Every Session
- 1
Enrolment: the 5th to the 15th
Enrol for IC-11 and pay the paper fee. New candidates register with III first. This is also the only time to change your centre, or to swap IC-11 for another 20-credit paper.
- 2
Extended enrolment: the 16th to the 18th
A short extra window in III's calendar for enrolment and changes of centre or subject. Treat it as a safety net, not a plan.
- 3
Slot booking
Roughly four weeks before the exam, choose your date, time and centre, and download your hall ticket. Miss the window and the system books a slot for you, which you cannot change.
Quick practice before you pick a session. No signup.
Scribe Requests: Last Dates in 2026
For physically or visually challenged candidates who need a scribe.
| Session | Last date for scribe request |
|---|---|
| March 2026 | 27 February |
| June 2026 | 28 May |
| September 2026 | 21 August |
| December 2026 | 26 November |
Picking Your Session
- check_circleYou commit your fee at enrolment, about seven weeks before the exam. Count your study weeks back from the exam weekend before you pay.
- check_circleIf you work at an insurer, avoid a session that clashes with your busiest weeks. Many non-life desks are stretched around the March financial year end, when renewals and closing work pile up.
- check_circleYou can sit up to 6 papers in one session, so IC-01, IC-11 and an optional paper can all go in together if you are ready for them.
- check_circleResults come out within the exam month, so a candidate who fails IC-11 in one session usually knows before the next enrolment window opens.
