III IC-11 Eligibility and Registration
10th pass is enough. Register once with III, enrol for IC-11 each session, then book your slot.
To sit IC-11 you need to have passed your 10th (Matriculation, SSC or equivalent), or to have worked at an insurer for at least three years. There is no graduation requirement and you do not need to be working in general insurance already, though most IC-11 candidates are: new staff at non-life insurers, broker and TPA executives, bancassurance desks and agents moving up.
Getting in is a four-step sequence on insuranceinstituteofindia.com: create a login and profile, pay the one-time ₹800 registration fee, enrol for IC-11 in an enrolment window, then book your slot in the slot-booking window. Each step has its own dates, and the order cannot be skipped.

How to Register and Enrol for IC-11
The registration fee gives you a Registration Id; only then can you enrol for a paper.
- 1
Create a login
Sign up on insuranceinstituteofindia.com. Keep the login id and password: III asks you to preserve them for every future exam.
- 2
Fill in your profile
Fresh candidates create a profile after logging in. Enter your name exactly as it should appear on your mark sheet and certificate.
- 3

- 5
Enrol for IC-11
In the enrolment window (5th to 15th of January, April, July or October), add IC-11 and pay ₹600 plus taxes. You can add other papers in the same go, up to 6 in a session.

Book your slot
In the slot-booking window, pick your exam date, time and centre. Your hall ticket is downloaded at this step.
Book Your Slot, or the System Books It for You
Slots go first come, first served. If you enrol but do not book in the slot-booking window, III's system auto-books you onto an available date and time. A booked slot cannot be changed under any circumstances, and the fee is neither refunded nor carried forward.
See the question style before you enrol. No signup.
