A first-time IC-11 candidate in India pays ₹1,400 plus taxes: the one-time registration fee of ₹800, which includes life membership, and the IC-11 paper fee of ₹600. If you have already registered with III for IC-01 or any other paper, you pay only the ₹600.
The official book is extra and optional: ₹450 in English or ₹500 in Hindi. These are III's fees for fresh candidates with effect from 1 April 2026.

The Cheapest Route to a Licentiate With IC-11
The Licentiate needs 60 credit points. IC-01 + IC-11 + IC-14 Regulations of Insurance Business are three 20-credit papers, exactly 60. With the registration fee, that is ₹2,600 plus taxes if each is passed first time. A 30- or 40-credit optional such as IC-57 Fire and Consequential Loss or IC-72 Motor Insurance costs more per paper.

III Fees Are Not Refundable
Once you have registered or enrolled, III does not refund or adjust any fee, including when you miss slot booking and the system books a date for you. Check the session and the paper code before you pay.
How Long an IC-11 Pass Stays Valid
There is no deadline to finish the Licentiate. What expires is the credit: the 20 credit points from passing IC-11 stay valid for 5 years from the date you pass.
That matters mainly if you stall. Finish the Licentiate, and move on to the non-life Associateship papers (IC-45 and IC-46) or a specialised diploma, before an early pass ages out.
