IIBF AML/KYC Exam Dates and Registration Window
A year-round exam with no annual date. Here's the rhythm it runs on, and where the current sittings are published.
The IIBF AML/KYC certificate has no annual exam date, because it isn't an annual exam. It runs year-round on a fixed weekly and monthly rhythm, and you pick the sitting that suits you rather than waiting for a notification.
That changes what "exam dates" means here. The useful question is not which single day the exam falls on, it's how often sittings come round, how long before one you need to book, and where the live calendar is published. This page covers all three.

AML/KYC Exam Schedule at a Glance
The cadence, not a calendar. These are the recurring patterns the exam runs on.
| Stage | When |
|---|---|
| Exam frequency | Held on the 2nd and 4th Saturday, and on all Sundays (year-round) |
| Registration window | A short window before each exam date. Recent cycles have run as few as 5 days; the official Rules & Syllabus document itself commits to no fixed figure. |
| Result | Score/result available shortly after the online exam |
How Often the Exam Is Held
Sittings fall on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month, and on all Sundays. That makes the exam available most weekends, every month, with no biannual cycle of the kind JAIIB runs on.
It's an online, remote-proctored paper, so a sitting is a booked date and time slot rather than a centre allocation. That is why the calendar can be this dense: IIBF is not scheduling halls, it's opening slots.
The practical consequence is that a missed window costs you days or a couple of weeks, not half a year. It also means there is no reason to book the earliest open date if you aren't ready for it.
Treat the Registration Window as Short
We won't quote a day-count for how far ahead of a sitting registration opens, because the sources disagree and IIBF's own Rules & Syllabus document commits to no fixed number. What is confirmed is that one recent cycle ran as short as 5 days. Plan as though the window is short and check IIBF's own exam-date page before you count on it.

How to Find the Date for Your Own Cycle
The authoritative calendar is IIBF's, and it is the only one that is current. Five steps from there to a booked slot:
- 1
Open IIBF's exam-date page
IIBF publishes the live list of upcoming sittings itself. Nothing on this page, or on any coaching site, replaces it.
- 2
Pick a sitting with real preparation time behind it
Count back from the date honestly. Because sittings recur most weekends, choosing the next one but one costs very little.
- 3
Check the window is still open for that date
Booking closes ahead of the sitting, and the lead time varies between cycles. If the date you want is close, assume it may already be shut.
- 4
Book the slot and pay
Slots are allocated first-come-first-served, and the fee is ₹1,100 for IIBF members or ₹1,600 for non-members, plus GST. It is non-refundable once paid.
- 5
Treat the booking as final
IIBF's rules make no provision to change a booked date or time slot. The date you pick is the date you sit.
What Happens After the Exam Date
The exam is a single 2-hour online paper of 120 multiple-choice questions for 100 marks, in English, with no negative marking. You need 60 out of 100 to pass.
Because it's computer-based, the score comes back shortly after you finish rather than weeks later, and IIBF issues the certificate on qualifying. If you don't clear it, there is no separate re-sit date to wait for: you register afresh for a later sitting and pay the full fee again.
One clock this page deliberately does not start: certificate validity. IIBF's own material does not address whether the certificate expires or needs renewal, so we won't state a period in either direction. If that matters for your role, ask IIBF directly.
Before You Lock a Date
- checkConfirm the sitting on IIBF's own exam-date page, not from a third-party calendar
- checkLeave enough weeks before the date to cover both the AML and the KYC halves of the syllabus
- checkAssume the booking window closes early, and register well ahead of it
- checkHave the fee ready, and know it is non-refundable
- checkBe certain about the date and slot, because neither can be changed afterwards
Why There Is No Single AML/KYC Exam Date Here
Any page giving you one specific calendar date for this exam is either quoting a single sitting out of dozens or making it up. The exam runs on a repeating schedule, and the live list of sittings belongs to IIBF. Bookmark that list instead of a date.
