IIBF DRA Study Material: What to Use
One official book in 11 languages, plus your training notes. Here's what's worth your time.
IIBF publishes one book for the DRA exam: the Handbook on Debt Recovery, published by Taxmann. Your accredited training covers the same syllabus, and for most candidates the handbook plus the training notes is the full set of material needed.

IIBF's Official Courseware
Handbook on Debt Recovery (2024 edition), published by Taxmann Publications. IIBF lists it in 11 languages: English, Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Gujarati, Oriya, Assamese, Kannada and Malayalam. It is IIBF's own book for this exam, not one option among many.

Check Whether Your Training Fee Already Includes the Book
IIBF suggests accredited agencies charge a single fee covering application, registration, books and study material, exam fee and library fee, capped at ₹4,000 for online training and ₹6,500 for offline. Ask your agency whether the handbook is part of what you've paid before you buy a second copy.
What IIBF Says to Read Alongside the Book
IIBF's own rules say the courseware "should not be considered as the only source of information," because banking rules change. It points candidates to:

IIBF does not share its DRA questions or answers; its rules call them the Institute's intellectual property. Files sold or shared as real DRA papers are recalled material of unverified accuracy. We don't link to or name them.
How to Use the Material, By Time Available
Training must be completed before you can sit the exam, so most candidates study during or shortly after training.

Two weeks or more: read the handbook module by module
Read one module at a time alongside your training sessions, then move to timed practice once all four are covered.

About a week: one fast pass, then practice
Skim the handbook once for shape, then spend most of your time on timed questions and re-reading the topics you get wrong.

A few days: practise and target
Focus on timed practice and the legal and conduct topics in Modules B and C, using the handbook only to look up answers you got wrong.
